The Research CentreMichele Panebianco
The Michele Panebianco Research Centre, which is a no-profit cultural association, was set up in Messina in 2011. Its main objective is to promote a deeper knowledge and understanding of the work of Michele Panebianco, eminent painter at the forefront of the artistic period in Sicily in the 1800s. and of the artist himself through publications, exihibitions and scientific symposiums. The Research Centre intends to encourage the development and interest in cultural and touristic activity which fosters and publicizes initiatives concerning the promotion of historical, artistic, archeological and cultural heritage in general, both material and immaterial. It intends to co-operate with both private and public Institutions at both a national and international level. The Research Centre has a highly qualified scientific committee, made up of experts from various disciplines dedicated to researching, classifying and studying works by the Messinese Maestro, (along with the rich graphic body of work, mainly in private collections).
